On Saturday night I took my girls to the local mall for the lighting of the Christmas tree. It was really a nice event they had live music, games, and tons of things for the girls to do.

One of the bands that was performing was The Charlie Walker Band they are local band in Jacksonville and he has a beautiful voice. I can't believe they perform live every week at the local area bars and I've never heard them before. Must remedy this immediately-lol.

But, anyways enjoy.

October was a crazy month for me and I wasn't able to post as much as I would of liked to. I missed Tune in Tuesday, I missed browsing post and finding new music to fall in love with.

This week I picked Jose Gonzalez's Heartbeats, this song is just beautiful. I love everything about it. By the way his album is pretty awesome.

I usually listen to music while I clean the house. Saturday while I was cleaning I had the tv on a music channel (what MTV used to be) and it was playing nothing but videos. I heard this song and was instantly attracted to it, then I saw the video and I fell in love with it. Watch the video completely to the end, it was so sad. Reminds me of West-side story.

On another note I can't believe the main girl in the video is the little girl from Kick-Ass the movie she looks so old.

I love Corinne Bailey Rae, I usually listen to her music when I'm stressed out and need to relax. I hit play on my ipod and shuffle both of her albums. There's something magical about her voices that helps me de-stress and not care about whatever it is that made me stressed out to begin with.

I can't remember when I heard about this group but I remember where I heard the song and it was at the ending of a Gossip Girl Episode. I fell in love with their music and jumped on Itunes to download their music that night.

The band is called Carolina Liar if you haven't listened to their music before you definitely need to try them out. The album is awesome and I don't think I can say there is one song on their that I don't like.

Early 90's Freestyle music was all the rave in Miami, you turned on Power 96 (local station) and all you heard was this music from Timmy T, TKA, Stevie B, Lil Suzy. I LOVE this music, I currently have a freestyle mix on my Ipod.

I chose Debbie Deb's When I Hear Music because I use to roller-skate to this at Hot Wheels, which was an indoor skating rink circa 1995.  :)

Last week on twitter  I was talking to an author from Johannesburg, South Africa and we were talking about music and books (story of my life), when they mentioned their favorite band. The band is Prime Circle(one of the biggest South African Rock bands) and they are freaking awesome! I’ve never heard of them before but, I was ecstatic to have found yet another band to obsess over.

The song is Breathing by Prime Circle, I love everything about this song and the video.

One of my favorites movies is A Lot Like Love with Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet. I don't know what it is about that movie but everytime it's on tv I can watch it again and again. The song that I've chosen this week is from the soundtrack and everytime I hear it I run to the dvd player and put the movie in :)

So this week I chose Sweet Pea by Amos Lee, I really love the soulful sound of his voice and the song is just beautiful. He currently has two albums and each song on there are just as great as this one. What song did you choose this week?

In 2008, I took my first trip to Vegas. Not only was it awesome because it was Vegas but the best part was that it wasn't planned and we left within two days of booking the flight. I was officially there for 24 hours. It was exciting, I played the slots machines, hung out at the pool, and partied it up until the wee hours of the morning. I think the only sleep I got was on the plane ride to and from Vegas which was five hours each way from Florida. 

We were at the Christian Audigier Club in Treasure Island when I heard this song for the first time. That's when I fell in love with Kings Of Leon. This song reminds me of my 24 hr trip to Vegas.

So this is my first week participating, I love music as much as books and I'm always looking to find new artist. I have been listening to Paolo's music for a year ever since I saw his concert on palladia. He has an incredible voice, and can you hear the Scottish accent?

Since everyone else is talking about the Shade Series, I'm feeling kind of left out :) Paolo reminds me of Zach from the series, totally swoon worth.
