2012 Sensational Seconds Challenge

The 2012 Sensational Seconds Challenge is hosted by Jessi @ Reading in The Corner

As many of you know, it's easy to get lost in the world of new releases for books, often I find that I've forgotten that a second book in a series that I loved has been released until months later. But, I never seem to find the time to read the book because I have deadlines on review books or just don't have time because my life got a little chaotic. I've decided that this would be a great way to hold myself accountable to read some of those books that I was so anxiously awaiting the release of.

I've decided to that I was going to participate in Jessi's challenge at the Intermediate level (5-8 books).

Challenge Info (from Jessi's Site):

The goal of the SSC will be to read sequels/companion novels! *duh* There are four different levels that you can choose to participate at:
    • Level 1 (Beginner): 1-4 books
    • Level 2 (Intermediate): 5-8 books
    • Level 3 (Advanced): 8-12 books
    • Level 4 (Crazy): 13+ books
  • Anyone can join! You don't have to be a blogger specifically, but you do need to review the sequels that you read somewhere (such as Goodreads, LibraryThing, Shelfari, etc.) in English
  • There will occasionally be giveaways! (Still TBD...but they'll be for participants only)
  • You can join anytime! Just set your goal and get started!

Pure (Covenant, #2)Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2)Arise (Hereafter #2)Jessica Rules the Dark Side (Jessica, #2)Tangled (Torn Trilogy, #2)Onyx (Lux, #2)Darkness Falls (Immortal Beloved, #2)

Waiting on Wednesday (21)

Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcase upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

Every now and then I like to take a break from paranormal and dystopian books and read books that have characters who feel real and actually have real problems. I like to delve into the issues the MC is feeling and try to relate with things going on in my life.

While browsing the internet I found this book and it sounds great, I have yet to actually read a Deb Caletti book but, I'm excited about this one.

This book will be released on April 24, 2012 by Simon & Schuster

The Story of UsCricket’s on a self-imposed break from her longtime boyfriend—but she’s picked a bad week to sort out her love life. For one thing, her mother’s romance is taking center stage: After jilting two previous fiancÉs, her mom is finally marrying Dan Jax, whom Cricket loves. But as wedding attendees arrive for a week of festivities at a guesthouse whose hippie owners have a sweet, sexy son—Ash—complications arise:
Cricket’s future stepsisters make it clear they’re not happy about the marriage. An old friend decides this is the week to declare his love for Cricket. Grandpa chooses to reveal a big secret at a family gathering. Dan’s ex-wife shows up. And even the dogs—Cricket’s old, ill Jupiter and Dan’s young, lively Cruiser—seem to be declaring war.
While Cricket fears that Dan is in danger of becoming ditched husband-to-be number three, she’s also alarmed by her own desires. Because even though her boyfriend looms large in her mind, Ash is right in front of her....  ~ Goodreads

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wondeful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

Because I feel lost...

Lately with everything that has been going on in my life I have found it very hard to find time to do what I love, read and then talk about all of the fabulous books I’ve discovered.

The thing is blogging has started to feel like a chore, it’s not as fun as it use to be and I’ve been struggling with writing reviews, scheduling post, and I just feel very blah. I’ve stepped away from the blog for almost two months have been posting sporadic post when my heart feels content to do so. But, it’s not enough, I want to find the inspiration to ramble on and on about some compelling and intriguing book that I’ve read. The words sit in my head floating around waiting for it to be transposed into something written but it never happens.

I’ve lost my inspiration and I’m not sure how to get it back. I don’t know when things changed but I can definitely tell the difference. I love this community because everyone is super nice, and it has become my second family.

So I ask you this, what do you do when you feel like this? Does anyone else feel the stress to blog everyday or on certain days? Suggestions, opinions, anything you want to say would help me tremendously.

I NEED to get out of this rut, maybe I just need a little push in the right direction. Thanks for listening to me ramble on :)
